Introduction
Neiman Marcus wanted their mobile shopping experience to feel as curated and intuitive as visiting one of their stores. Partnering with Bloomreach, the redesign focused on faster search, better personalization, and a checkout flow that felt clear and trustworthy. These improvements helped shoppers browse with confidence and discover products that matched their tastes and intentions. The work made the mobile experience feel more elevated and more aligned with the brand’s promise of luxury.
What challenges were we addressing?
The goal was to design a mobile experience that combined luxury, speed, and personalization without overwhelming the user. Shoppers needed to find specific designer items quickly, explore similar products naturally, and feel confident moving into checkout. The design had to connect multiple Bloomreach-powered features into a cohesive experience that could launch in phases and perform well under A/B testing and holiday-scale traffic.
What were we aiming to achieve?
Our goal was to create a refined, intuitive mobile experience that felt unmistakably premium while making product discovery faster and more personal. By improving search, simplifying navigation, and modernizing checkout, the redesigned experience helped shoppers move confidently from browsing to buying, boosting engagement and conversion during the peak holiday season.

Homepage and Personalization
The homepage was restructured to surface Bloomreach-powered personalization through curated modules that felt more aligned with the luxury customer’s expectations.
Predictive Search
Predictive search was redesigned to feel instant and intelligent. Users could find specific designers, categories, and products with fewer keystrokes. Suggested results were more relevant and reduced dead-end searches. Clear separation between brands, products, and categories reduced cognitive load.


More Like This
Explorations focused on brand and style relevance. Multiple variations tested how many items to show, how to present similarity cues, and how to maintain the elevated feel. The final design offered curated discovery without introducing clutter.



Find in Store
Store inventory became accessible directly on mobile, bridging digital browsing and in-store service. The design kept information clear and approachable without sacrificing brand tone.
Design System Integration
A lightweight design system established rules for spacing, typography, icons, and UI density. The system reflected a balanced luxury aesthetic with reduced clutter, spacious layouts, and a clean visual rhythm.
