Neiman Marcus partnered with Bloomreach to elevate their mobile shopping experience using advanced search and personalization tools. I helped redesign the mobile interface to deliver a more intuitive, personalized experience that boosted engagement and conversionsespecially during peak holiday seasons. Neiman Marcus, a luxury fashion retailer, sought to improve its mobile e-commerce platform to provide a seamless and personalized shopping experience for its customers. Despite having a robust online presence, the existing mobile app struggled with user engagement and conversion. To address these challenges, Neiman Marcus partnered with BloomReach to leverage its big data-driven e-commerce tools, aiming to build a mobile experience that aligned with the brand’s premium positioning while driving user engagement and conversions.

Approach

Complex Search Functionality

Users found the existing app navigation cumbersome, particularly when searching for specific luxury products or filtering by designer.

Checkout Abandonment

A notable number of users abandoned their carts during the checkout process, suggesting issues with the flow and user confidence in the process.

Lack of Personalization

The app lacked personalized features, resulting in users seeing generic products and offers, which did not align with the expectations of a luxury shopper seeking a tailored experience.

Led the visual and interaction design for the Neiman Marcus mobile platform, creating an elegant, intuitive experience that reflected the brand’s luxury feel. From navigation to checkout, the focus was on smooth, user-friendly flows that kept shoppers engaged and made browsing effortless.

This included displaying tailored product recommendations based on user behavior and preferences, as well as personalized content on the homepage and product pages.
